Valued Lives are a peer-led community organisation enabling vulnerable people to live valued lives in local communities. Their Our vision is to see people living valued lives in welcoming communities, having real choice and real control of their own lives.
It was a privilege to work with an organisation which has such a profound, positive impact on the lives of vulnerable people and their families.
The staff at Valued Lives had enlisted the services of Warrick Welsh of Uchoose to assist with the creation of a new workplace in the magnificent new Belmont Hub building. We have worked successfully with Warrick on countless projects and this one was no exception.
This project required a furniture fitout that was deserving of a place in this exceptional facility, was functional, comfortable and inspiring for the special staff that work for Valued Lives yet, had to be achieved on a sensible budget for this Not For Profit organisation.
We worked closely with Uchoose with furniture and finish selections to ensure that we were able to do this beautiful tenancy justice despite the tight 3 week schedule and the tight budget.
With the knowledge of our team (gained over 15+ years experience), we were able to create a solution that met all of the clients requirements.
The colours selected were White desktops and White frames with Light Grey fabric screens.
These neutral, light colours give the workspace a bright and open feeling which emphasised the natural light that streams in through the large exterior windows of the office.
The furniture items included in the project were:
With our inhouse Project Management, Manufacturing and Installation processes, we were able to successfully achieve handover within the desired schedule.
It’s not everyday you get to create a work[ing] space for such a noble organisation and we were very grateful to have been able to play a small part in providing a nice working environment for Valued Lives and their wonderful staff.
